The  strength of this book has been its lucid description of basics with  emphasis on clinical aspect. Major changes has been done in  echocardiography and approach to management with new illustrations and  figures with an effort to be concise in providing scientific information  relevant in day-to-day management aiding in clinical diagnosis,  investigation, and treatment. One chapter each has been provided for  intervention in congenital heart disease, basic understanding of fetal  echo, and the problem of congenital heart diseases in India.
